Retaining Walls

Block

Block walls are one of the most formal varieties of walls. They're great for front gardens, creating grade changes, as well as around a pool area. There are no gaps between the blocks, minimizing wash through and rodents.

Boulder

Granite boulders have a round characteristic, with an array of color tones in the gray, cream, red and blue families. Walls constructed from boulders provide a great opportunity for planting perennials between the rocks, giving the wall a softer appearance and color through the growing season. Boulder walls are a natural choice for owners who want or need grade retention.

Limestone

Limestone walls are a great way to give a more formal appearance without using a pre-made concrete product. KLI prides itself on maintaining straight lines, giving our limestone walls smaller gaps. Limestone boulders have only a light tan color, but the characteristics of this rock make it unique to southern Wisconsin.
