How much does a paver patio or retaining wall cost?
Hardscaping is priced by size, materials, site access, and prep, so costs vary. As a general guide, quality paver and stone work runs more per square foot than planting work because of the excavation, base, and labor involved. We provide a detailed written estimate after a free on-site consultation.
How long do paver patios and retaining walls last?
Properly installed, a paver patio or segmental retaining wall can last for decades. The key is the base, we excavate, compact, and build on a proper aggregate base, and measure walls with lasers for true square and level so they hold up to Wisconsin’s freeze-thaw cycles.
Do I need a permit for a retaining wall or patio in Wisconsin?
Sometimes. Taller retaining walls, generally those over about four feet, or walls holding back a slope or driveway, often require a permit and engineering, and patios near a lot line or shoreline can trigger zoning rules.
